A chain and sprocket drive is a kind of power transmission when a roller chain engages with several toothed wheels or sprockets, used in engines as a drivefrom crankshaft to camshaft.
Ever-power is proud to share a wide collection of Sprockets along with this huge selection of agriculture, gardening, cooking and outdoor items. We stand behind all 26,000 products we sell with our Satisfaction Guarantee. Customer Service may be the cornerstone of us business, and has been for over 50 years.
Application
Ever-power travel sprockets provide tough, reliable service and show replaceable tooth plates for easy field repair. Tooth plates for 102 and 142 series chain are available with a segmental/symmetrical reversible tooth profile. The 142 DBL, TPL along with the 175 and 260 series use our nonsymmetrical profile.
Drive sprockets weren’t always made to be bolted about. At one time they were welded onto the final drive motor and needed to be cut off when they were replaced. Sooner or later, welded-on adapters were set up that allowed the sprocket to be bolted on, and more modern designs utilize the bolted approach altogether.
When someone sends in your final drive motor for us to have a look at or?rebuild/reman, we advise them to eliminate the sprocket. We don’t require the sprocket in location to evaluate the engine and the added fat (which can be significant) unnecessarily improves your shipping costs.
Signs of Sprocket Wear
The teeth on a drive sprocket are where you look for wear . They must be tall and flat towards the end, not razor-sharp or dished by the end. And the sprocket, and even more specifically its teeth, commence to wear, its size becomes smaller sized. This causes what is referred to as a pitch mismatch, where in fact the pearly whites on the sprocket no longer interact with the track backlinks as effectively. This may accelerate the use of the sprocket and decrease the efficiency of your apparatus.
If your sprocket shows sign of excessive wear, then its time to replace it before it starts to cause abnormal track wear or commences to negatively affect the performance of your final drive engine.
Preventing Sprocket Wear
One of the key ways to prevent accelerated sprocket use is to check the track tension. If the tension is too tight, it will cause don on the sprocket tooth. We’ve talked before about the importance of keeping the undercarriage clean, and the health of the undercarriage can affect the track tension (especially if there is usually a build-up of dried mud and debris). That’s the main motive we put so very much emphasis on keeping the undercarriage clean
Conclusion
With out a functioning drive sprocket, your track drive won’t have the ability to propel your machine. Fortunately, there are methods to help your travel sprocket last longer: keep the track tension at a proper level and preserve your undercarriage clean.
DRIVE SPROCKET
The undercarriage of your track equipment should be inspected regularly. If you discover early wear or damage to your tracks, a put on sprocket may be the cause.

All Ever-electric power sprocket tooth profiles are induction hardened to 55 Rockwell C., and are replaceable. The alternative and repair of tooth plate segments does not require removing of the travel shaft, bearings, etc. Ever-power also designs custom split hub pieces for retrofit applications that minimize field labor costs.
At initial glance, you might feel that if you’ve seen one travel sprocket, you’ve seen all of them. However, Ever-electrical power features added an I.D. lip and spiral ring that captivate the needle bearing along with an exterior snap ring that increases performance and stability. While simple to overlook, it’s this attention to fine detail that the racer has come to anticipate from Ever-power.
